Woodlands Hospice is a registered charity dedicated to providing hospice care for the people of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby in Knowsley. The hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
As part of the volunteer day, the John West crew spent the day pruning, painting and planting shrubs on the hospice grounds to help support this worthwhile cause.
Volunteers commented:
“We were delighted to support Woodlands Hospice by gardening. The Woodlands Hospice provides fantastic care and much needed help for people with life-limiting illnesses in North Liverpool.”

“Brilliant day and would do it again”.
“It was a rewarding pleasure to take time out and to give something back to the local community. Woodlands do such great work and we could not do this without the help of volunteers. They made us feel really welcome, and I would recommend that other members of the crew get involved”.
“The day was great fun – it was nice to spend the day getting to know colleagues from various areas of the business as well as the sense of achievement at the end of the day having helped out in the local community”.
“It was great to be out in the fresh air and have some fun whilst supporting such a worthy cause”.
