This is definitely one of the simplest things you can do with our tuna, but fortunately it’s also one of the tastiest. In about two minutes you can create a dish of nicely spicy, gloriously savoury tuna pate with lots of delicious possibilities. Spread it on plain or hot buttered toast for a great snack or starter, or on crispbread or crackers if you’re weight watching. Add a little side salad of rocket leaves, tomatoes, radishes and red onions to make things more colourful. Alternatively, you can also serve it as a chunky, savoury dip, with breadsticks, or sliced cucumbers.

Ingredients

  • 1 110g No Drain Fridge Pot Tuna Steak with a little spring water
  • 125g of your favourite cream cheese
  • 1/2 clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp chilli powder

Step 1

This tuna pate recipe is so quick and easy it virtually makes itself. And because it uses John West No Drain Tuna straight from a convenient fridge pot, there’s less fuss and mess too. In a bowl, mix your tuna, with the peeled and finely chopped garlic clove, cream cheese and chilli powder. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste. That’s all there is to it. Get stuck in immediately, or if you want to serve it chilled, refrigerate for a couple of hours.
